Thu, August 3, 2006 - 6:58 AMI've recently had sauer-hot sauce- the maker was trying to replicate Tabasco, and basically krauted some HOT peppers, then added extra lemon or something like that. It was awesome- I hate the vinegar taste of most hot sauce, and this was acidic but without the vinegar bite.
Telll us how your sauer salsa comes out! Tomatoes are starting to explode in gardens around here. Never thought about krauting one. ALl that other stuff should kraut well.

more tomates next time, less onions, the onion flavor for some reason really seems to be enhanced by the fermentation -

anyone workin on anything fun? has anyone donne aple cabbage kraut? or any kinda fruits with the krautymama? i've got all these distressed apples from the co-op...i guess i could play with hard cider or sumpin, but i like playin, sooooo, just a wonder...
